Please note, the apartment is on the lower level of a two-level house. It has its own entrance and grounds with unobstructed lake views. It is a separate unit altogether.
My husband and I sometimes stay upstairs when we are in Taupo.

We are just 8-10 minutes drive from Taupo town center and yet Acacia Bay has its own microclimate, protected from the winds, with gorgeous swimming beaches, where you can kayak as well as plenty of beautiful walks around the area.
Taupo is the heart of the North Island and is the perfect place to set up base to explore. Rotorua is just an hour drive north, while Hawke's Bay and Napier are less than 2 hours east. The ski fields and Tongariro Crossing are a 1.5 hour drive. the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves and Hobbiton are each less than 2 hours away from Taupo.
